How will yours stand out from the rest?
The precursor to #SummerInSalzburg, #NextStopSalzburg brought together SalzburgerLand, Eurowings, the City of Salzburg, the Salzburg Airport, and Region Obertauern together in a venture to access the UK market and increase their Winter bookings. However, at its core, the campaign was focused on embedding a community-first mindset, an approach that’s integral to Boom’s mission of creating meaningful connections. Here’s the breakdown:
THE CHALLENGE
Eurowing’s goal was to highlight their new direct flight from Heathrow to Salzburg. SalzburgerLand was excited to promote the region as an ideal winter destination and increase their bookings. Thus, our challenge was to figure out the best way to inspire UK travelers to book their winter holiday within the region!
THE SOLUTION
#NextStopSalzburg! 4 UK influencers and 3 local influencers came together to create stunning door-to-door content, explore SalzburgerLand, and have fun in the process.
Flights booked, suitcases packed, and we’re off! We picked up instagrammers Mike (@mikecleggphoto), Zoe (@zobolondon), Elena (@elensham) and Conor (@thefella) in London, and then started our journey to Salzburg with Eurowings:

Upon arriving in Salzburg, we met up with local instagrammers Denis (@deniscebulec), Michael (@bluemoonthecrew) and Sebastian (@zeppaio). Budding influencers, these three now have huge followings of their own — we’re super happy for their success!
The UK crew & Salzburg locals then experienced the city’s world famous Christmas markets, and many other sights that add to the city’s charm.
The Winter tour of the region continued with a trip into the snowy Obertauern—the crew let loose and skied and snowboarded to their hearts’ content.
The day ended with activities to perfectly compliment the impeccable scenery: a sleigh ride, dinner at the Gnadenalm, and a campfire.

With 7 influencers and a following of over 55.000 instagrammers, the #NextStopSalzburg campaign inspired many UK travellers and others to join in on the Salzburg fun.
